(photoshopped, I cant take credit for making it)
So I'm sure many, if not everybody has already seen the new Grey Knight Dreadknight kit (probably here on this blog as its one of this months give away prizes). I kept wondering the actual scale of the model. I made a few observations such as the fact its on the new flying oval base, has a power armored marine as the pilot, as well as a few bitz that I can tell the size from. I had made a guess of around 5-6 inch's.
Then I saw this picture of it next to the plastic Demon Prince kit.
And then I saw this showing its scale next to a Penitent Engine, a super cool model in my opinion.
After seeing those, I realized its a bit bigger then I had assumed and could actually make a really cool Deff Dread for a "heavy looted" Ork army. So, I mentioned this idea to a friend who sent me this picture.
All photoshop and super amazing. If I ever do start an Ork army, it will most certainly include 2-3 "looted" Deff Dreads.... Now back to Finishing up the Sons of Horus.
my thoughts exactly!
ReplyDeleteHe he awesome! I think it makes a much better Deff Dread than dreadknight!
ReplyDeleteI also think the Penitent Engine is a Super Cool model!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing the Dreadknight/Defiler mashups.
ReplyDeleteIt's a Deff Knight! Awesome ideas! How about a Sister of Battle in the dread knight -- "Get away from her, you b*tch!"
ReplyDeleteThat's lookin' pretty darn sweet, I must say..
ReplyDeleteI love the extra big shootas that lucky ork is holding - you can never have too much dakka.
ReplyDeleteJust to nitpick, it's got a terminator armored marine as the pilot. That Ork conversion is slick!
ReplyDeleteLove the photo-shopped ork - The dread-knight would be a great basis for an ork mega-dred.
ReplyDeleteAlso, does the dread-knight remind anyone else of the cartoon Exo-Squad from the 90's?
Much better looking as an Ork than a GK
ReplyDeleteNow that 'side view' makes me drool even more.
ReplyDeleteCS
Well, now that's a nice idea. Could be an Iron Warriors deamon prince on the work too.
